Erith and Belvedere is historically pretty much where people go to divorce, loose hope and die. You'll notice iron bar secured ground floor windows, some substance misuse on estates. There are quite a few places that look nice, closer to Lesnes Abbey Woods. But up north it's just extension of Thamesmead. Anti drug squat raids are not out of place etc. Biggest pain though is the fact that it's cut off from civilization by that awful roundabout in Plumstead. People quit their jobs just so they don't have to drive through there every day. Oh yeah - and the biggest waste incineration plant in UK is about to be built there, so property prices are on attractive side.
