bench and squat stand combo

hi guys,

whats your view on putting together two pieces of kit like these here and here instead of buying an integrated bench?

If your going to get a bench, perhaps its worth getting one that could adjust for incline and or decline?

I went and had a look at most of the benches in the Batley showroom, wasn't at all impressed with the Marcy stuff, felt really rickety, kinda like the first York bench you ever buy from Argos when your a kid.

I ended up stumping up for one of these feels really solid, and they threw in some floor matting for free also.

Looks good, but is it really worth nearly three times the bench that I mentioned?

I've got the exact same rack, it's very well built. Don't use it any more though as I'm a member of a gym.

I guess that depends on how serious you are and much weight you will be lifting.

The bench you mentioned is rated to 270kg including user weight.

I personally have one of these : http://www.gymratz.co.uk/weight-training-gym-equipment/item115.htm which is extremely stable & is rated to over 1000lbs

that wont be any good for a big man
