Hi,

Due to getting a job that needs a small commute I'm considering finally getting my DAS sorted and finally getting a bike.

600cc is the limit for engine size.

I always loved the look of the TNT 1130 but the newer 600i with ABS looks like a nice all rounder that will cover me for a couple of years and give me experience I need without being to vicious I'll regret it.

Anyone any experience with this bike? good points? bad points?

Alternatives?

Thanks for the suggestions, I don't mind going slightly over the 600cc mark, i just don't want anything too big that I'll kill myself on it :D

Plus, the bigger the bike, the more i'll have to battle the wife :D

Parts were an issue, my brother had a problem with some cheap Chinese bike but I wasn't aware Benelli had been bought out.

Going to rush through my CBT and look for a decent bike.

Wife was being difficult about it, and tonight her dad goes out on his scooter, down a country lane following a van. It makes a wrong turn, bangs it in reverse and puts him in a ditch and his scooter got run over twice.

Just went from Mission Hard to Mission Freakin-Impossible :(

He's fine by the way, his scooter is destroyed though.

Because we had kids together and having a dad that was a biker, I know what it's like IF there is an accident.

I'm still going to get one, it's just going to be harder to sort it as I've got to take my test first :D

LOL, that may just be the case, got to get tests done first though in secret :D Matched betting will be started again to pay for it :D

The more and more I look about the KTM Duke 390 is standing out as a great starter bike, nippy enough and light enough to have some fun on and be safe.

Only downside is the I've heard bad things about having a pillion.

If I already had the gear and licence the MT-07 would be my next choice but with everything else it would push it out of what I would be happy to spend overall.
