Benelli TNT 600i - opinions?

Wife was being difficult about it, and tonight her dad goes out on his scooter, down a country lane following a van. It makes a wrong turn, bangs it in reverse and puts him in a ditch and his scooter got run over twice.

Just went from Mission Hard to Mission Freakin-Impossible :(

He's fine by the way, his scooter is destroyed though.

I still don't see how a woman should decide what you do with your own life... I think that's one of the reasons why none of my relationships lasted, I won't let someone dictate me the terms.

Just do what I did, say you're going for shopping... comeback with a bike and ask her if she can give you a hand as the shopping is too heavy. :p

Because we had kids together and having a dad that was a biker, I know what it's like IF there is an accident.

I'm still going to get one, it's just going to be harder to sort it as I've got to take my test first :D

- Do test in secret
- Send Mrs away on spa weekend
- Bike is in the garden on her return
- Go for ride after inevitable arguement :D

LOL, that may just be the case, got to get tests done first though in secret :D Matched betting will be started again to pay for it :D

The more and more I look about the KTM Duke 390 is standing out as a great starter bike, nippy enough and light enough to have some fun on and be safe.

Only downside is the I've heard bad things about having a pillion.

If I already had the gear and licence the MT-07 would be my next choice but with everything else it would push it out of what I would be happy to spend overall.

Yeah don't ride a 390 2-up!

The 390 isn't just a great starter bike. All of the journalists rave about how fun it is to ride on the street compared to the litre bikes.

A 400 is great fun to ride on the road, I recommend everyone try/own one at some point. They're just no good for long distance stuff, but thrashing it round your local B roads/alpine passes at 13k rpm (if you have an IL4 400) is great fun :D

Even the singles do upwards of 11k rpm so not far off.
