Hi All I have been reading about the new BenQ XL2410 120Hz 3D LED Gaming Monitor which looks great ! 2 things i want to know is 1. when is it due out in the uk ? & 2. Is it going to be a glossy screen or matte ?

Haha no problem. To summarise for others. Matte screen highly likely and October UK release planned.

No you're not alone. Different anti-glare coatings are applied to different monitors and some are certainly better than others. I saw some Samsung OLEDs with nice glossy screens but also some with a type of anti-glare coating I'd never seen before. I have no idea what it was - maybe it was just the fantastic technology beneath it rather than the coating itself. Maybe the lack of a backlight somehow lessens the 'gritty' effect.
I sometimes feel the urge to constantly clean some monitors. Then I remember it's just the coating.

If it is matte as stated i think it will beat the Acer and Asus and will only be the price that people go for with this and the Dell Alienware ..in my view

I'm also keeping an eye out for this one after almost buying a cheaper TN (just for gaming) the other day. If it's competitively prices I'll probably bite
