You don't need a 1000w PSU... Even 850w is slightly overkill

A good 750-850w is all you need.

So you don't want the best, but the cheapest after all You get what you paid for, I suppose. The Seasonics (XFX is the same unit internally) are the gold standards (no pun) in PSUs. Particularly their Platinum series. However I'm sure you'll be fine with the OCZ.

With the exception that im a different person if you actually look inside its built by great wall the same people that make the sparkle psus. Ive had their psu units before and the quality is up there with the seasonics just for less money, I admit the early ones were a bit loud but they fixed that when they went to yate loon for their fans

Personally, that Seasonic 1000w would be too nice to pass up, but the XFX above is hard to beat for value.

I'm going from a single 580 to SLI 580s myself in the coming weeks (putting them under water), and plumped for an AX850 (got a great deal on one). A good 850w will be plenty for SLI 580s, and unless you're going tri-SLI at some point, will be all you'll ever need, because GPUs are always getting more power efficient.
