Best 16" gaming laptop for under 2.5k

Hey

My Asus A16 AMD 7700s laptop is struggling on games. Spoils my experience.

I have a Helios Neo 18 with a 4070 at work. However It's too big for using in bed at home. So it lives at work.

I'm after a 16" laptop that has at least those spec 4080, 32gb ram, 1TB.

I'd love an OLED or Mini LED screen, but those are bonuses.

Can anyone recommend one? Even willing to buy used to get the right spec.

Seen some Razor Blade 16, however they are above my budget currently

Not on my list. I have the 18 version, and there is no bios settings to allowed underclocking or undervolting etc. And at that price, I'd expect an OLED screen or similar. Their IPS on my 18 has some interesting bleed.

Prob is for your budget at mo with a 4080, a lot of the other brands limit the wattage to the GPU or you end up compromised on something typically the screen.

Asus Rog Strix Scar is the only other top spec option worth considering but with a 4080 it's budget blown. This was on sale for in budget recently but you missed it.

Other vendors aren't coming out any better.

Ah bummer. Would have been perfect too.

Mabey they will discount it again soon lol

I'm expecting big price drops when the 50 series laptops drop. So will have to hold out it seems
 
2.5K should fairly easily bring 4090 equipped into range second hand. There's been a couple on the MM over the last 3 months or so.
 
Are you sure, 17" can get you better cooling and a higher power threshold and less throttling for the GPU. What's in another inch ;)

Just bought an Alienware X16 R2 for under that price, with 32GB RAM, 4TB M.2 RTX 4090 and so on.

Check out the outlet and haggle on the chat :)

Got an extra 10% by chatting to an agent.
