Best 46-50" TV?

Whats currently the best 46" TV (LCD or Plasma)on the market at the moment?

Looking to buy soonish out here in Thailand and they have Panasonic, Samsung, LG, Sharp and Sony available.
Must be 1080P, 100Hz and have at least 3 HDMI sockets.
Ive been offered the new series 6 Samsung 46" (LCD) for around £840.
Wondering what other models are out there that are comparable or better. Cheers

Pioneer plasma is best but will be over budget, Panny plasma will be next best, if going LCD I would go with Sony.

It really boils down to how much you have to spend on a new TV.

£2000 / £1900 should get you a Pioneer 5090. These are widely regarded as reference level TV sets.

I didnt really want to spend over 1k. What about the Panasonic TH50S10?
Ive seen a 42G10 but I was after something bigger than 42".

If you sensitive flickering I wouldn’t get it, as it gave me a headache watching it.
