Best 5.1 sounding games?

My new ‘Xonar DS’ is at home waiting for me to install, providing I can get it set up correctly (Optical output DTS to me AV Receiver – Windows 7 64bit), what games have the best 5.1 sound via DTS-Connect?

Erm... Lots.

I was pretty happy with EAX representation on Assassin's Creed and Bioshock on Xonar and 5.1 is a given. Crysis and HL2 Series / CSS / L4D / other recent source engined games are all software based all features can be enabled on Xonar, and sound pretty good.

It's rare these days to find a game that doesn't do 5.1 very well. DTS connect is irrelevant really. It's just a way for you to connect your speakers via a digital connection.

If you find that 5.1 isn't working properly, just restart the game and hit the GX button on the Xonar control panel.

OK, thanks for the reply, seems like daft question now, I guess I was thinking of films where some are a lot better than others!

I'll give Crysis and Bioshock a go when I get home...

Just be sure to check if the game has an audio setup menu. Bioshock does, so you'll need to set it to 5.1.

Some games automatically detect the setup in Windows and use that though.
