Best ~50” TV £500-£600

Hey all, I know there are a lot of people on this forum that are clued up on the best deals out there. I’m after a 50”ish TV for £500-£600 to use as a bedroom TV. I Dont mind too much about smart features as I’ll probably use an Apple TV. I’m also planning to use a sonos beam for sound so don’t mind about the speakers.

It will be for TV/Movies only as I don’t really play games.
 
I'm also on the hunt for a new 55" 4K TV to use in my TV/gaming room. Everyone seems to recommend the Hisense 55" H55U7AUK as being the best budget option if you just want a decent panel and aren't bothered about smart features. However, none of my local stores appear to stock it and I don't want to drop £500 without seeing the thing first.

The last time I was in the shop most of the televisions all looked much the same to be honest! Only the OLED models looked noticeably better but they were about 3 times the price and, unless you have money to burn, didn't feel they warranted that kind of money.

From my research, it looks like the Samsung NU7400 would be a good bet. There is a big thread on avforums and people seem to be quite happy with it. Has anyone got one? I’m going to head over to richersounds to have a look.
 
We recently got the LG SK8100PLA 49" from Richer Sounds my mate got me it for £729 think its originally £749 and very happy with it. Im not getting another Samsung ever again despite having the Samsung MU6400 40" in the bedroom. Our 48" H6400 lasted all of 3 half years before it started going purple around edges of the screen so that's the last of Samsung tv's for me. LG have always lasted me from microwaves to anything else electrical. Did look at the Sony's but rubbish O.S and rubbish remote with very poor layout was a deal breaker for me

With the NU7400, I think the panel size matters as the panel you get varies. From what I can tell, 50” is pretty much certain to be VA while the 43” ones are likely IPS. For my needs, I think VA is better so I’m going with the 50NU7400.
