Best air cooler for a 7900gt

Hello all,

I've decided to go for a 7900gt as my next card (rather than 2 7800gts as was my previous plan) because of the exciting volt mod options. But if i want to go to 1.4v or higher i'll need the best cooling I can get. I think water cooling is a little beyond me, but i am sure i can install a better after market cooler.

I've seen the Zalmans v900 and 700 but I don't really know which is better. The v900 looks like it was built more for silence than cooling but I don't know.

Can anyone give me advice on what is the best cooling option for a 7900gt?

fairly straight forward to install. be carefull when placing the cooler on the core.

the VF900 has an integrated heatpipe where the vf700 was a lump of copper.

Do i need to use some arctic sliver for the connection?

I used artic silver paste when installing my VF900 on my 7900GT, and im overclocked at 590 - 790 atm. Will volt mod when i get a moment.

I don't suppose arctic silver would do a job as a 'conductive ink' for the purposes of the volt mod would it? Also does anyone know what voltage and speed is safe just one air?
