Best Albums of 2010

I'd probably have to say:

B.O.B - The Adventures of Bobby Ray - a great contemporary Hip-Hop record.

Followed closely by...

Eminem - Recovery.

Jamiroquai - Rock Dust Light Star is good, but can't quite cut it.

i would go with slash - self titled

best songs of it IMO :

Crucify the Dead (feat. Ozzy Osbourne)
and one of the songs of the year imo Back from Cali (feat. Myles Kennedy)

Just havnt been able to not listen to anything by Flying Lotus on a day by day basis.

Been through the album a couple of time and just found new stuff on it which i cant believed i missed.

Only ones i can think of ive really enjoyed and better than i was expecting.

Agreed: Deep Blue was excellent. Other great metal albums of 2010:

Got The Naked anf Famous album a few weeks ago, love it.

Other highlights for me this year was:

Foals - total life forever
Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles II
Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
The Coral - Butterfly House
 
It's been a mind-blowing year for music - my favourite of the last decade or so years!

well ive never been into my chemical romance but their new album is superb. My girlfriend got me into them and ive totally changed my views of them after listening to Danger Days...absolutely brilliant album.

Otherwise id have to say deftones-diomond eyes. Again absolutely immense :)

Make Do and Mend - End Measured Mile

So is it "New records by artists I love" or "Great records I've heard this year"? As always, these threads tend to fall into both of these categories.

For example, I love the Manics but their new record isn't even close to being one of their best albums, never mind one of the best this year. Similarly, Slash is great but his solo record has a handful of good songs on it and even if it were choc full of awesome songs, that version of Paradise City with Fergie and Cypress Hill is enough to ensure that I never makes it onto anyones top records of 2010 list.
