Best Alien film?

Did any of you visit the Aliens experience live show at the Trocadero London?

I must have been about 14-15 at the time, sad little **** into space marines and gameworkshop.

Anyway, it was brilliant, the tour through the "facility" and the aliens broke out of quarantine or whatever the story was.. who cares! I was too busy screaming and running and laughing then screaming some more!!

At one point the Marines push you into a lift and as the doors close a guy in a Alien suit (quite like something i saw in Alien 3 the other night btw) reaches in a grabbed someone and pulled them out, on my tour it was a youngish person 10 ? or so... was he a plant or was that for real cos i cant imagine they could get away with it these days...

Truly brilliant 15 minutes or how ever long it lasted.

Now i think about it i must have been a bit earlier, if anyone can recall the dates too that will be interesting.

i have a friend who went to this and echoes its awesomeness. i wish i had gone, i can't remember why i didn't

Yep, I went for my 8th Birthday, scared the crap out of me, scariest thing I've ever done in my life lol :p
 
Aliens closely followed by Alien, trailed by Resurrection and Alien 3.

I don't hate Resurrection as much as some people seem too, I think it is more frustrating than anything as it had the potential to be (easily!) much better if they would have done less... The first part of the film is fine, it all goes to **** when they get onto that rubbish hybrid alien thing :(

Independently targeting particle beam phalanx. Vwap! Fry half a city with this puppy. We got tactical smart missiles, phase-plasma pulse rifles, RPGs, we got sonic electronic ball breakers! We got nukes, we got knives, sharp sticks...

yeah very true. to be honest from the moment they enter the complex onwards it's a fantastic ride ;)

one gripe i have about the special edition is when they've entered the complex and have ok'd gorman/ripley et al to come in, then when gorman and ripley get out of the car thing, the sound is really distorted when gorman talks... would've thought they had some filtering on that to clear it up a bit

Hudson: How do I get out of this chicken**** outfit?

Pretty much everytime i get asked "Any questions?" That quote goes through my mind ... :)
 
To surmise my thoughts on the 4 films.

Loved Alien
Absolutely adored Aliens, still remains my favourite film of all time.
Enjoyed Alien 3
Watched Alien 4

Alien is probably my favourite, because it's such a good horror film, but I would totally understand someone saying they preferred Aliens, as it is a spectacular action film. I don't think I could understand anyone going for Alien 3, but then I've not seen the director's cut. I most definitely would not understand anyone going for Resurrection. It's utter garbage.
