I've been listening to Hyperballad and I'm ashamed to say it's the first Bjork I've ever heard properly and I really like it :)

Should give you a rough Idea of the type of style I like.

I was just wondering what album you lot recommend that I should start off with?

Post and Homogenic are possibly my favourites, great production (particularly on Homogenic) and some of the basslines are very nice. Whenever I was hunting for Hi-Fi gear I would take Post along with me to hear how the equipment handled Hyperballad. I like Debut and Vespertine for different reasons and there are a few songs on Vespertine that I think are really excellent - Unison in particular is a beautiful track and really highlights her amazing voice. Medúlla doesn't really work for me, but then I haven't really devoted a lot of time to listening properly.

I saw her live at Sheffield Arena I think it was, back in '96 and it was amazing.

Debut or Homogenic I think, Vespertine is my favourite although it's a bit more experimental.
I'm with that. Though I might recommend Post over Homogenic, simply because Post is a bit less heavy than Homogenic which, as a consequence, I think would make it easier for a new listener to get into. Plus it has Possibly Maybe and Headphones on it too :D.

I tried to like Medulla as much as I like Vespertine, but I just couldn't get into it in the same way - still fantastic, just not quite as.

Enjoy discovering more Bjork, dark_shadow .
