Best bluetooth headset on the market?

i don't use one myself, but I've heard bad things about sony ones, and excellent things about Jabra headsets, so make of that what you will.

I've used most in the line of the Jabbra ones and they are pretty good.

I havent found a headset that sounds as good as actually putting the phone to your head i must admit.

I considered the HBH662 as well, but eventually purchased the Jabra BT800 instead based on lack of technical information on the Sony and the lower price of the Jabra.

I've only got my Plantronics M3000 to compare too, but the BT800 is lighter and connects with my phones better than the M3000. Sound quality is similar. Only bad point on the BT800 is the display - not enough contrast, poor backlight and it's set rather deep into the body which results in shadows.

I find my motorola hs820 pretty good. I use it with my razr and with skype on the PC. You can get em for 3.99 on the bay from HK albeit i'm sure at that price they are fake.

well i ordered the sony, just because they offered next day del and i needed it asap. I think i will buy the Plantronics a bit later as it really does look very cool lol

do any bluetooth headsets stop you looking like a tool when you have it in? ;)

there were 2 ppl playing snooker last night with them left in - they looked so stupid :|

no they dont but they do let me work when i am in the car.

Also helps prevent my head being filled with microwave radiation unnecessarily when I am in the house (I use around 2000 minutes per month)

:p

I've just purchased the SE HBH-610.
This is one of the few Bluetooth 2 devices on the market and as my W800i supports Bluetooth 2 we should have a perfect combination.
Really couldn't see the point of the SE with caller ID.
If I can take the time to see who is calling on a callerID tag I can pick up the phone.
If I need the headset it's because I'm driving etc and then cannot use that feature.

Yep i cant see the point of the caller id but does have a battery meter which i think will be useful.

what does bluetooth 2 do?

To be honest I don't think the BT2 feature is this particular headsets main selling point - it was a nice bonus because as this feature becomes useful and phones start to have it included then you are already there.
Forwards compatability etc.

The main features that interested me were from a review that I downloaded a while ago:

"Using Digital Signal Processing, the HBH-610 is capable of some advanced sound balancing, bringing the a promise of excellent clarity to both caller and recipient.

The DSP monitors the volume on the headset and will automatically increase or decrease, should the background noise rise/fall, or the volume of the signal sent by the second party change.

This volume change is almost instant - taking less than a second per adjustment. The echo balancing is great, in car, the reverb and subliminal noise are dulled down, making for a far clearer signal.

In the office, the random shouting still comes through, but any regular background noise is detected and accounted for."

The 6.5hrs talktime and 300hrs standby were also rather appealing.
