Considering the season he has I am surprised Lescott isn't on the list in his own right. He has been immense this season and was very good last season also. I know many people will say Kompany next to him makes him look good but watching him every week you appreciate how good he is. Both Lescott and Kompany have scored some very crucial goals this season also.
As good as Lescott has been there is no match to Kompany imo. Can win tackles and headers all day as well as then being able to pick the ball up and not look lost. Fantastic physical ability as well, rarely gets out muscled or paced which is as important these days as being able to just clatter people.
His ability to read the game is class as well!!!

They are incredibly dubious shouts for the best player in their respective positions. Criticism I level tends to be specifically against Man Utd...

Kompany > Srktel > Vidic. Srktel has really impressed this season. Hoping he keeps his head down and no one try's to sign him during this testing time for us. Absolutely no contest for top CB - V.Kompany for me. Top pro and a very mature, modest and respectful head on his shoulders.
Be honest Biz how many people would have voted for Lescott to be the best CB in the league? Even you're saying you wouldn't of voted for him! Once again AFAIK a poll on these forums can have a maximum of 10 options so unfortunately some have to be left out which wont please everyone (proof of which was 5 minutes after submitting the thread Baz was complaining there was no Agger

Considering 2 have to be selected the poll is working out pretty dumb, I mean currently you wouldn't pick Vidic over Kompany+Skrtel.

Well to be fair to him, you claim you stuck him on ignore months ago but have quoted 3 of his posts within the last couple of weeks.
Why not? Even on one leg Vidic is better than Skrtel
You do know you can still look at people's posts even when you have them on ignore dont you Baz?
Yes and you obviously do still look at his posts, which might be why he replied to you despite you having him on ignore.
