Best Ford radio adaptor fascia?

Well the Ford kit wasn't much different to the one I bought from Halfords a few years back. The plastic panel was possibly slightly better finish but without the two side by side I wouldn't be sure.

In the end I ditched the plastic clip thing and installed the Ford blanking plate and then installed the cage for the stereo. Bent the cage clips around the stereo surround and the Ford plate. Then installed the stereo as per normal.

It's really solid with no rattles.

Simple really, don't know why I didn't do this years ago in my previous Mondeo. Probably because I had that stupid plastic clip I was in the mindset of it must be used.

I am going to look into getting the steering column controls working with my Pioneer HU. If it involves pricey kit I'll likely not bother.

You can't get the Ghia X or ST24/200 steering column controls to work with anything other than an OEM HU. :(

In the Mk2, yes absolutely. If you look on the autoleads site it does explicitly state this too.

Foxington even took his Mk2 Ghia X to Autoleads HQ and they couldn't get it to work or find a reason why it wouldn't :(

Annoying as I would quite like to maintain the stalk control when I upgrade the HU in my ST200 but there we are :(
