Best game bought in Steam xmas sale (so far, updated if poss)

No not anymore it was a daily so...

For me The Witcher is the only thing I picked up but with the 5850 on the way JC2 is tempting, but my 360 pads trigger has stopped working frelling mad catz are a bunch of numpties.

Yup. I put on V1.73. There is V1.74 but its not been out very long so i thought id use one that is proven to work. You need to tell it where the Gothic 3 folder is during installation. I also turned off Steams update for this game just incase it mucked it up. Im having no problems whatsoever. It installed right over community patch V1.6 (which is what Steam uses).

Easly as much fun as Risen. The fighting felt a little 'light' at first but it only took a few fights to get used to it.

Gothic 3 is actually a good game eh?

I bought it on release and vowed that if I ever some how bumped into the dev's I would mug them for my money back. Throwing in the towel and telling the community to fix their own game should have ended their career but I believe a gothic 4 came out or is going to?

Metro 2033 - good graphics, good story, good sound.

Only played an hour or two, and a few times I have actually been scared - last game to do that was F.E.A.R. the first time through.

Sort of agree with the critics of BC2 - though I think it just depends on what it is you want from a game. I can see how great it is, and the only thing it fails at - for me - is that it's just not as much fun as other multiplayer shooters.
 
Well if I didn't already own them it would be Super Meat Boy and Amnesia. Anyone who failed to snap up either of these should be shot. Utter masterpieces.
