Ignoring the big hitters, Grand Prix 2's limited music was epic.

Banished has a great little collection that adds to the game feel no end. Theme Hospital too. Not the best music by any stretch of the imagination, but they just work in the game.
 
It goes under the radar but have a listen to The Talos Principle, its one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard.
 
Halo Series (some tracks gave me goosebumps), Mass effect, Elder Scroll Series (Skyrim in particular), Fallout Series, Metal Gear Solid

Besides the greats that have already been mentioned (FF7, Skyrim, etc.) I would consider GTA Vice City to be among the best (non-OST) game soundtrack. There was another recently which I forgot...

Ghost Needs Sheets has some catch freely sourced music, in an annoyingly good way ^_^; heh!
