LOL.LoadsaMoney said:Someones been using your account mate, as in here you been saying x1800 is not worth it for 1280x1024, and to spend an extra £50 on the x1900.![]()
I bought my Sapphire X1800XT 256MB quite a number of months back, it was to last me until the end of 2007 when I would actually start to give a monkeys about DirectX 10...glen8 said:I'm starting to see more and more people like this
The same people who are waiting to order the X1950 today, have posted saying that their current card would last till DX10![]()
some people just give in so easily (like me)
7800GTs and 7800GTXs are very hard to find now though.Edleake said:7800GT slightly overclocked would be the better option surely? Same sort of price, less power used, less noise and less heat.
Arrrr maytey.taz488 said:yea id rather buy from a real shop not the bay, full of pirates out to get you
The X1800XT or X1900GT is a better option over a 7900GT. Also, I know you mentioned overclocking the 7900GT slightly, but unless you use a pencil mod on it then the X1800XT or X1900GT will overclock further than it.Edleake said:Sorry my bad, I meant a 7900GT!![]()

The HIS X1900GT IceQ 3 is a great option, you won't be disappointed with it. It's faster than an X1800XT in some games like Oblivion, and I bet it will pull ahead a fair bit in Crysis too.Edleake said:Thanks for the heads up on the reliability issues with the 7900GT, I've not been keeping abreast of graphics cards, I think I'll opt for a HIS X1900GT and put up with a hungry 220w card.![]()
