Wish i was in a Ramen Shop Counter
I just picked up GH3: Legend of Rock for £35 with Guitar but the box says it only have 70 tracks.

Just wondering what other games are compatible with the Les Paul and which one has the best track list? GH1?GH2? I am looking for some pop/rock tracks than the hardcore stuff, purely out of that's what i know and what i enjoy playing.

I know that you can get Rock Band 2 and borrow a copy of Rock Band 1 and download those songs to the HD and can play them too, is that right?

I've a feeling all Guitar games are compatible with the Les Paul. Certainly GH2, GH3, GHWT, and Rock Band work, not 100% about RB2, but I'm fairly certain it does.

You can get the track listings for each game on wikipedia I think so I'd pick whichever has the most songs you like rather than which is the best game. You'll get much more out of it. :)

Personally I am loving the songs on Guitar Hero World Tour.

I've seen loads of people slagging it off, however, looking through the track list now i quite like the look of it. Got GH:WT + guitar coming for xmas and ordered Rock Band myself for £24. Never owned a guitar game before, come christmas i'm going to be spoiled for choice.

So how does the compatibility for GH2 work? Do I just drop the game into a BC PS3 and the guitar works? Or do I need to play it on a PS2 and get a strange connector for the guitar?

Also what about GH1?

i prefer rb2, its timing window is slightly looser than rb1 and it makes me look like i'm actually able to play these sorts of games!

wasnt too impressed with ghwt's setlist but the worst thing is its screen layout is just painful to look at (hard to see tiny streak multiplier, starpower meter in an out of way place etc etc) and the timing window is waaaay too loose for my liking.

I have GH3, RB1 and RB2 for the 360

Compatibility wise the Les Paul guitar works with all three of them.

The RB1 import you will need a copy of RB2 obviously and borrow or rent a copy of RB1.

You will then need to get an export license, at least I assume there is that option on the PS3, this will allow you to export "nearly" all the songs off the RB1 disk for play in RB 2 (I think there are 2 or 3 songs that don't get exported due to licensing issues)

Once you have done the export you can send the RB1 disk back as you will only ever need it again if you lose the exported songs from your HD

I prefer Rock Band but the Red Octane guitars are superior. (imo)

Its a pity my GH3 guitar seems to have broken, could just be a problem with the connection at the neck as my orange button flickers on and off when pressed.

I could not agree more

I hate the RB guitar that's why I bought GH3 just so I could get the Les Paul

The flickering orange thing seems to be a common problem and does indeed stem from the neck connection.

By what I have read if you just clean both sides of the connection it should go away. I can't verify it tho as I have never had an issue with mine

Spot on.

People get too hung up on tracklists, it's how the game plays that makes the difference.

Not really, sure how the gameplay is counts a great deal. But if there is no songs on a tracklist you like whats the point in buying it

The tracklist can have a huge impact on if someone buys it or not

I agree, I don't really want to play a music game for the sake of it. I'd rather play one with songs I enjoy listening to.
