Guitar Hero World Tour isn't as good as Rock Band 2 in my opinion but Guitar Hero 3 is still the most fun game to play in my opinion. Rock Band 2 career just seems to have me playing the same song lots and lots which is annoying because the game is good fun but I don't like playing the same song again and again.
I love in RB2 you can create a set, it has been one thing i have wanted since playing GH2 on the PS2, i thought 'why can't i just pick a few of the songs i really like and play them back to back' and now i can
I will double check later but I'm sure you can make a setlist from quickplay. I'm sure when I was playing it at a mates recently we did that and it was before rockband 2 was out.
Edit just checked seems your right, must have dreamed it.
I sold Guitar Hero World Tour yesterday - I just found it a complete bore
It's a shame because I loved the Guitar Hero's 1, 2 and 3 - however now that Rock Band has come onto the scene - I just don't see any point in another music game.
With the amount, and quality of the DLC being released every single week, I'm still enjoying Rock Band 1 and 2
can people confirm to me that they can play RB2 with GH:WT drums, one of my mates said the drums wernt in the same positions or something so it was to hard.
Well, they are compatible, however the GH:WT drums have 3 pads and 2 cymbals whereas the RB drums have 4 pads. I can only assume that RB relocates one/two of the pads to the cymbals which i guess would work but could prove awkward.
You get presented with fret on screen that has the notes you need to play displayed as coloured icons running down the screen, when they reach the bottom you have to hold the corresponding button on the neck of the guitar and 'strum' a long thin switch on the body of the guitar. That's the basic idea, there's other things such as chords where you have to hold multiple buttons or what i call 'tapping' where you can play a quick number of notes without needing to strum. It also comes with a couple of multiplayer options etc.
To get an idea of what you see on the screen this is a good example:
That video is on the highest difficulty so don't let it scare you off, there's 3 easier difficulties.
