Howdy,

Wow, a thread not related to the iPhone I hear you mutter, correct... although I do mention it below :)

I currently have a iPod Video (30GB) that does everything perfectly, apart from when I'm at the gym. It will sometimes crash and I would have to do to a reset to get it back in action again. This doesn't always happen, and is very random at the times it does it. But I have had enough of that and want to get a iPod that ideally won't do this.

I have an iPhone 3G, but I don't plan on using that down the gym. The shuffle is too small (file size wise I mean) so is no good, so is the iPod nano the best way to go? Would you use that down the gym? Or does it also cut off after a bit of shaking?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Well I always have my ipod on shuffle anyway, but I want to have my whole music collection on there so that the shuffle is more random. I don't want to keep changing what tracks I put on there depending on what I do at the gym that day... I think the skipping on the iPod video would be less annoying than that :) So 2GB is just not big enough really. Whereas 8GB would be more than good enough!

Just thought I'd mention, I grabbed a 2GB Shuffle in the end, I wasn't aware of the autofill option that lets me randomly select tracks from my collection which is cool. The shuffle is a pretty cool device, and am very impressed with it overall! It will only be used for the gym though, the iphone 3g/ipod video will be used for less active listening.
