I'd get a 7850 / 7870, single. Note that your VRAM doesn't double with SLI / XFire. All in all, I would get a 2GB single card.

Because both cards need a copy of the same data in VRAM. So effectively you only have 2Gb.
the memory with the two cards is still 1280.so how come if you have 2x480 with 1280 each then both = 2500gb memory?
