Best non widescreen monitor? Bigger the better

ok I've built my new rig and now I want a higher rez monitor than your standard 19" tft (I am using a pair of L90D+'s)

My primary monitor will be used mainly for gaming and as most games dont run widescreen well I was thinking which LCDs have good rez but normal aspect ratio.

Well AFIK they don't come any bigger than a 22" in non widecreen format. Nobody wants non ws anymore. Eizo do one and there may be a few others but they will cost big money.

So it's either a Dell 2007FP which is 20.1" but 1600 x 1200 res which is a step up from your 19" tft.

But i'll contradict you on most games don't run ws well. Most recent games and all new games run ws fine IMO. It's only old games where you have to do workrounds or have it stretched on your screen. In gaming ws is the future and I would agree as I have just gone from a 17" 4:3 screen to a 20.1" ws and the difference is great.

So if I was you I would look at 20-22" ws as well
