Which would be the best card to get for this price? i wanted an ATI card but it seems that there current range is rubbish and no one has any x800 series to sell.

I did have a radeon 9800 pro, then it died and i wanted something better.

I dont game, but i have played 2 games in 2 years of being on the machine. So i like to play the odd game.

I've been working on a AGP list, hope it helps, and I welcome any suggestions from those on the forum who know better than I (of whom there are a fair few ;) )

9800 Pro(S/H), 6600 GT(S/H), 6800 GS(S/H), 7600GS (£82), 6800GT(S/H), X800XT(S/H) 7600GT (£118), x1950 Pro (£152)

S/H stands for second hand btw.

In your case a 7600 GT perhaps?

What are peoples thoughts on the 7600GT?

I will be upgrading to PCI-E sometime in the future, but i would say 1/2 to 3/4 way through this year. not yet.

the 7600gt is a great card although it might be slightly overkill for your needs. the 7600gs is a nice little card and outperforms your old card by quite a bit. just get the best you can afford, i guess.... :)
