Was thinking of getting the new ati chipset board (due Feb/Mar) with a X1900 XT, but after seeing the new Gainward 7800 GT card, I'm thinking of getting that with a NF4 PCI-E board.

I currently have a MSI K8N Neo Plat 2 939 AGP board running at 300 HTT (300 x 10 Opteron 146). Are all the NF4 (non sli - not interested in SLI) boards going to be ok running at this sort of speed?

Just going to have a hunt on the net for some reviews, but there are probably a dozen boards to consider :o

Cheers

i'm in exactly same position as you Duke; have an MSI Neo2 with an Opty 146 at 3.0ghz at moment and am planning to go pcie with a x1900xt.

After careful thought i've decided to go for the MSI NF4 Platinum - good features and the same overclocking potential as the Neo2.

I had narrowed my choice down to the MSI, Asus and DFI - with having MSI experience I thought i'd continue my trend.

The DFI would probably offer the best for overclocking but I only have limited experience so wanted to go with something simpler to set up,

Hope goes well for you Duke.
