Best OcUK Sound card for MP3/Music?

Howdy,

I have the Creative x-fi Gamer in my PC atm, but I'm sure thats not the best card for music/mp3 playing?

I play games, but tbh I use my soundcard mainly for listening to music (thats MP3's, not CDs etc) so out of all the OCuK cards, what one would you say is the best for listening to music? Would it be the Auzentech X-Meridian 7.1

I use Sennhesier HD590 headphones that cost my £150 (when I got them) so they aren't crappy headphones.

I seriously doubt you will notice any improvement over the Xfi.

PLEEEASE tell me you are using an amp with your senns, and they arn't coming straight out of the soundcard ?

hmmm, well, hmmm *cough* no *cough*

They are coming straight outta soundcard, but someone did mention a headphone amp... but thb I've never heard of a headphone amp? Are these headphone amps DEDICATED for headphones? Or do you mean a normal amp that powers speakers etc aswell?

Can you recommened a good (cheap as poss) headphone amp? I NEVER EVER use speakers, so it would be entirely for the senns!

I've read about the Heed CanAmp, but cannot find anywhere to buy it in the UK... and all the ones I seem to find in the UK are unknown, and I cannot find any info on it?

If saying a retailer is a competitor (which is may very well be) just suggest the name of a good one and Ill find it. head-fi.org is a yankee site so what they have there is mainly dedicated to the states?
