best overclocking 775 sli board

what do u guys think is the best overclocking 775 sli board ?
Maybe i am expecting too much but im stuck at 3.8 (stable) with my current board and would love to see a stable 4 gig o,clock.

Ive got 3.8 stable out of my 8400 on my 680i board, not sure if a 750 or 780i would give much better results. The 790i may do but then youd need new RAM as well

From what I've seen the 790i is the best. DDR3 prices are no longer insane so it just depends if you want to change the ram as well or not. However I'm pretty sure that any 7-series nvidia board will do 450fsb with a wolfdale...

I already have a 7 series board mate its a 780i chipset as in my sig. I have had it to 4 gig but not stable at that clock .

How do you know it's the board holding you back?

Try dropping down the multi to 6x and pushing the FSB up.

I must be honest I havent tried any clocks with a 6x multi ??? Is this a common trick to try then

Well it's a good way to try and nail down the limiting component in your system.

It'll help you find your max fsb for your board.

My evga 680i would not clock over 375fsb, so i would say don't get one of these even if you could now.

OK I've got this board running with a 500fsb on a 6x multiplier (3000mhz) so I know it can do good fsb. Now does this start telling me that my cpu is limiting me ? if not where do i go next to find my limiting factors
I am stable at 400fsb x9 = 3600
stable at 425fsb x9 = 3800 (ish)
stable at 500fsb x 7 =3500

seems to just not like going over 3800 no matter how I try fsb and multi plus I've tried the voltage upto 1.45v(recommended max for wolfys) ! Is this my cpu's limit then ?
