Best PC games of 2006

after perusing IGN's awards for 2006 i found them quite interesting and wondered what you lot thought so a few examples to start off :-

IGN - result etc
Best Action Game - Lego Star Wars 2 - **mine was CoH**
Best Adventure Game - Sam & Max
Best First-Person Shooter - Half Life 2 - Episode I **I didnt think it was that good**BF2142 was 2nd ?
Best Racing/Driving Game - GTR2 **I enjoyed WTCC more**
Best RPG - Oblivion
Best Strategy Game - Company of Heroes ** or MTW II**
Best Online Game - Company of Heroes ** thats a suprise tbh **
Best Developer - Relic ** i see a trend **
Best Use of Sound - Company of Heroes ** hmm, it was good **
Best Graphics Technology - Medieval: Total War II ** was stunning if you had the hardware **

anyways, it seems that Company of Heroes won it comfortably and i cant really think of another game that was as worthy /discuss

I prefer medieval 2 compared to COH tbh.

COH is great, the online is amazing too but it can last hours, which is a good thing if you have the time.
