best pci grfx card

Is a 256MB FX5200 the best card available for PCI, or is there something better out there?

It's for a pc that just has PCI, no AGP or PCIe.

If you want to use it for designing or similar you could go with an Nvidia Quadro Card, otherwise variants of a 5200 is the best i could find

Just a bit of light gaming. Nothing major, cos the cpu is only an Athlon at FSB266.

I would say this is the best PCI card...

That looks like a pretty good card too. Haven't seen a Diamnond Stealth for years! Probably stick with the Nvidea tho. I heard the linux support is better.

Two of my fave games! Actually tho, you'd be surprised. In my old rig I managed to play the godfather @ 1280x720 without turning the gfx options all the way down. That was a 128MB PCI FX5200! I know the rig will never run the latest and greatest games out there, but I should be able to get something out of the thing.

The FX5200 should be fine. I have the PCI version in my Dell and i still run CSS and HL2 fine.
