Long story short, family member needs a phone. Nothing required about camera. Sticking with android as I'll make it so the homscreen is layed out simply for contacts etc.
I was thinking Samsung at whatever they have about price point, but if thelrs better ideas open to them.

Went with the Samsung A41, as i realised its a bit smaller for carrying about etc, and it seems more than capable.
Amazing it bloody well has a 3.5mm jack in it.

How are you finding the A41?
I'm considering one for my wife to replace her 3 year old Huawei p7 lite

Replacement needs to be a similar size, & have decent onboard storage along with a reasonable camera.

Will arrive over the weekend as ordered it online so can let ya know then.

When is it on sale?
Usually direct from Samsung. They have sales every few months. Last sale was in April so should be due another sale soon I suspect.
Was £270 iirc back in april
I got my s10 lite for £380 back then as I thought the spec was worth the ~£100 extra

Well I’ve got a new Motorola Moto G8 Power in the post. My main phone is an iPhone XR and just needed a second phone to use with Android Auto in my car.

I’m not adverse to spending megabucks on a top of the range phone but currently favor iOS over Android.

I've had a G8 Power for a few weeks (£160 on the lenovo edu site was nice!) to replace my G4. Nice screen and good battery life, plus decent sound and video.
Not that impressed with the cameras but nice to have a wide angle lens. Also a bit chunkier than the G4 but really not too bad. Nice that it comes with a plastic/rubber over for the back so it doesn't slip.
Really don't like the swipe up for both the recent apps and also for all apps. Much prefer the old buttons tbh but guess I'll get used to it.

Was that some kind of sale, looking at the Lenovo site now they are £ 209.99

Was on their education site which has some pretty decent discounts but need to be a student or work in education to access sadly. Have a look on hotukdeals though as there are few deals doing the rounds atm.

Received my Motorola G8 Power in the post this afternoon. Got caught out by it not showing anything in Windows 10 file explorer under Moto G8 and after 30 minutes or so using the Internet for help I found out you have to turn on file transfer mode in the settings.

After doing this I could see both my SD card and the phones internal storage in the file explorer.
