Best place to buy an extended waranty?

Im considering buy an extended waranty on my 360, considering how many of them go up in a puff of smoke. Ive had a few freezes and laggs, but other than that its sound.

I assume it has to be brought from the retailer you got the console from? or does it come from MS?

Also any prices would be great :)

Just buy it direct from MS, either on the phone or with the warranty slip that came in the box. £59 for two more years.

I bought it for both of my 360's as they are made of sugar paper. Normally I never bother with extended warranties and all that but i'm on my 3rd and can't be bothered with the hassle when it dies again and again.
 
i expected forum rules, might come into play here. I'l buy mine when i have the extra cash lying about. You can buy it as long as its within the year guarantee cant you?

Bought straight from M$ on the phone with only two weeks left on the guarantee paid £25 something for a year. usb door fell off last week they sent me a new one in the post :) so i'm happy.

I phoned xbox customer support and got another year guarantee for £24.75. They just did it over the phone.
 
£59 for two more years?.

That sounds pretty good.

/goes and rummages around in 360 box. :cool:

What does that particular warranty cover, anyone know?.

Is it a straight repair or replace one?.
