I use Gamershell

Its free and has almost every patch for nearly every game.

Google the game and patch number, use the first site that comes up

GH is good, for the rare cases where it doesnt have the patch I'm looking for I use filefront.

One of the best sites I used to use was Strategy Informer Great un-restricted speeds for UK/Euro & US Servers. Great selection of patches, Mods, Demo's and maps. All for free without adds
