Best program for ripping CD's?

Another vote here for EAC, I put it onto my NAS as FLAC. Then use this to transcode my library to MP3. I keep meaning to try out Mareo to transcode into both at the same time but can't really be bothered to configure it

The guide that's used by anyone who wants to have best possible rip of their music.

And if you're doing it for iPod, I'd just recommend using LAME V0 encode.

Another vote for EAC to either flac for archival purposes or chosen lossy bitrate for on the go.

It's a pain the erky to set up the first time, but after that you are good to go with a few buttons. The guide Chiribo posted is a good one
