I am afraid Bert has badly damaged the carving as can be seen in the attached photographs. Bert has gnawed a hole all the way through the carving as well as creating many smaller holes around the piece.

I've seen one where they pursuaded a scammer to copy out a map of London or something, entirely by hand.

He paid a local wood carver to do it for him. The carver still got paid so he lost money.

Maybe the carver got scammed in turn, and he went on to scam someone else for the wood and the knife - its all a nice, practical circle.

Personally I think if they owe people out there money, the bayliffs will take life if they can't pay it off. Am guessing one or two 419eater victims (the scammed scammers) have suffered some form of fate under the pretense they will inherit a lot of money for very much nothing.

Also the shoe on the other foot has had victims lose their lives in going to Nigeria to seal deals etc.

Perhaps they are gullible, that doesn't mean they deserve to the robbed.

a lot of the time, they pray on the niave, people new to the internet for example.

It's the same way that junk mailers pray on the elderly. They are scum for doing it.
