Best Single Slot GFX card ?

Needed for HTPC - must be single slot but would like the best performing one available to play the odd game or two..

Although, on second thoughts. If its for a HTPC what exactly do you want from it. If you want HDTV encoding to a nice big TV then you may be better off with the best single slot ATI 3000 series card you can find. They far outperform the nVidia cards for video proccessing.

I know the MSI 1gb version isn't... most should be...

Yes - double check before you buy as some appear to be single slot but have a (pointless) double slot bracket.

I'm sure the PNY on offer this week is a reference single-slot design with a sticker, go for that.
