'Best' sounding bike in your opinion?

The healtech quickshifters are expensive aren't they? how is it? I find my Danos one doesn't always change then I have to clutch it

They are about £240 bud, once you've dialled in the settings and cut times they work incredibly well, plus the unit can be moved over to a new bike far easier.

I have mine setup to activate from 4500rpm.

£240 for your's ace :) QuickShifter easy
p/n: QSE-1 + QSH-P4A (thats the part numbers you need) takes about an hour to getting it all in, then a few hours road testing to get it all right.

Yeah I was looking at the healtech quickshifter easy at the weekend - the multistrada doesn't have room for a normal tension thingy in the shift rod, these look extremely east to install - no power or remap needed.

Only is issue is that they cut ignition on both down and upshifts as it can't differentiate between them (so for those who like to rev match on downshifts, not sure how it would affect this as it's only 0.08 or around that, that it's cut for.

I don't really have a favourite, most bikes sound awesome especially with a decent can.

I'm yet to take the baffle out of my SC Project exhaust, might have a play at the weekend if I get time. Now that I'm an earplug convert it would seem rude not too :p

It's a Fantastic unit bud, Never had any issues on downshifting either tbh, you can hear it in the first vid.

Like the ones they have on cars?
Heard the weird exhaust faux options on a GTS last night... very weird...

If only they could make a dB killer like an exhaust valve that you operated with a button
You can make one yourself.
Google for Motorcycle Exhaust Tunable Baffle - Goes from nice and quiet to pretty much straight-through, if you like. The basic basic version will be manual on each baffle unless you want to install some kind of push-rod mechanism or summat, but you could motorise it.
The Harley ones are pretty, but likely cost a bomb.

My push bike with a crisp packets shoved in the frame.
That's just pathetic... Everyone knows Spokey Dokeys have a FAR superior sound!!!
If they came in motorcycle spoke diameters and in chrome, my Cruiser would have been PEPPERED with them!! :p

when I was a teen my mate used to poke hole in a beer can and shove that on the end, made it utterly silent till it dropped off

Not sure, pulling the clutch in slightly too early maybe? His revs jump at each change up. Plus he didn't blip on the way down, but I'll let him off :p

That's a 3-1 stubby or 3-1 arrow on there I reckon. Think I prefer my 3-2 arrows though :D. Need to get my sound recorded properly somehow. I want to buy the Tascam record, but not sure I'd use it enough to warrant £70.

And that guy sucks a bit at changing gears.

The 3-2's do sound a lot better than the newer 3-1's.

It's nice to see some love for the Triumphs, I always forget how nice my bike sounds (look out for Wednesday's YouTube video ;) ) as I keep lusting after R1's and RSV4's!

The r1's have a funny crank don't they?

Supposed to give v twin low down grunt and il4 top end power, interesting

That's it,no it supposed to add v twin like power low down aswell

EDIT:its a more smoother power delivery/lazy firing pattern, affects the sound aswell

Keep an eye out on ebay, there's occasionally used ones on there - or there's a Zoom H1 for £50 iin the MM at the moment.

I need to get a nice windless day and use the Yi out of the waterproof housing on a tripod to film a couple of flybys - the audio isn't bad when there's no wind.
