Managed to get sun cream on my shorts at the weekend, they are grey cotton ones, and after a normal wash they are stained slightly darker where its spilt.

What is the best product or process that people have used to remove stains such as this from clothes, ive tried vanish stuff in a bar before but it wasnt up to much.

    Ta.

Sun cream is oil-based, which is why it didn't wash out. I would think a degreaser - such as ammonia or ammonia-based - would take care of it.

Of course, try it in an inconpicuous area first to make sure it doesn't have any adverse effects.
