im a utd fan but van persie had the most spectacular finishes he bagged loads dispatching in devastating fashion. rooney is a better arounder but as an out and out forward i think van takes it.

The way these polls are going there's not actually going to be one Man Utd player in the team at the end, I guess that's a discussion all of it's own....

well, it was discussed all last season.

it went something of the lines of man utd play sub par football for title challengers and have won a lot of games purely on belief and grit as oppossed to attractive and flairy.

united fans are fine with this. don't see how you can be surprised that no united players are likely to make it because they're not entertaining or leave any real imprint on a neutral fan. other than youngs diving.

too many of that list have been in the EPL a year or less so as this is based on previous years its definitely Rooney - RVP is still an injury risk even after his stellar season

In the coming years Im sure Aguero will come to the fore (or long shot at Cisse)

anti-united post or pointing out something asked (by a united supporter who started the poll) after he pointed out the fact that no united player was likely to make the team?

Your argument is fairly moot though simply because even if the team at times haven't played the most exciting football people can still surely see the ability the likes of Nani have? Chelsea dont play great football and yet it's Chelsea defenders that currently occupy the right and left back positions in the final team. Likewise when I did the wingers poll loads of people who asked why Mata wasn't included.

because mata isn't a winger?

ferguson is the best manager in the pl. that's the connection, he gets the best out of what he has got. if redknapp had gotten the best out of what he had, we would have finished higher than 4th.

You're missing the point, my point is Chelsea dont play great football but that doesn't stop people wanting to vote for their players so the fact no Man Utd players have made it into the final team isn't because of the quality of football the team play it's either simply because common opinion is that they're not that good or people are loathed to vote for them because they play for Man Utd.

You're the 'neutral' out of the two of us so which do you think it is?

there will be people who have not voted for united players to be bitter same as there's people who wont have voted for spurs players 'to be bitter.

the general opinion would still be that man utd do not have the strongest/best player in any position individually but have stacks of belief and the best and most experienced manager who gets them through and tbh that is more important.

spurs have a better cm pairing than united and bale is better than anything you have on the left imo. if managed by ferguson in a team with the belief of united, they would be even better. as it stands, they're not but they're still exceptionally good under the circumstances.'

I've already pointed out United players are in the final team (unless we're playing one defender, one winger and one striker?)

Still haven't decided on the formation yet (will do it tonight as it looks like RVP has won this one) but I was being facetious when I say no United player will make the team as the only ones who will make it wont have done so by actually winning their respective poll (like Vidic)

who missed a large chunk of the season. i voted for kompany though vidic has some serious pedigree.

i voted for aguero in this poll. the 2 spurs players i voted for are parker and bale. you put modric in the same poll as toure which was a difficult one as they're different types of players but toure had a better season than modric.
