best sub £500 37/40/42 lcd or plasma

friend of mine is looking for best bang for buck lcd or plasma for under £500

generally used for sd content and occasional xbox360 @720p

need to be minimum 37 inch and user friendly as my friend is not v technically minded.

so far looking at

LG 42PQ6000 42" Plasma TV

any other recommendations appreciated
