Not quite in the same vien, but Teen Wolf and The Lost Boys boys are both teen movies of a kind.

Heathers is a fantastic movie, unfortunately it gets blamed a lot whenever anything bad happens in US schools.

I seem to remember The Sure Thing being very good.

Summer School was pretty much a rip off of The Breakfast Club.

War Games, also with that guy that played Ferris. I like this movie a lot.

Red Dawn? was that the one about American school kids fighting back against a Soviet invasion of the USSR ... LOL, cheesy but fun.

The Lost Boys, good music.

Space Camp.

Iron Eagle movies.

Porkys that has already been mentioned is the win though.
