The hypers are good units, however if one develops a fault they tend to take out the motherboard, CPU and sometimes the GPU.


A risk I would not want to take.

See that wouldn't necessarily be a problem. The missus gets my bits and I get some new bits and we all know new bits is better bits. Although even convincing myself an i7 and
5870 for eBay and Facebook is ok is hard.

What brand are you using currently?

Well... it's...*winces*...a CiT. 750w, 2x12v rails is fine for my Athlon64 & 7800, and it is, but after reading that it's only something like 20A per rail I realised it's a non starter for my new i5 2500k/GTX480.

At least now i'll be able to re-case my old gear and keep its psu.
