Best way to get away to Amsterdam for a weekend?

flybe fly to schiphol but late booking normally mean it cost a packet.

If you drive you could get the ferry to france and drive through france and belgium up in to holland but depending on the flight cost with the fuel prices as they are you would not save much considoring the amount of trouble you would have gone through.

Best bet would be to try and go another time if you wait a couple of months you could get a return flight for £100 including baggage.

You could try flying to brussels aswel and get a train up to amsterdam but the train ticket would be pricey.

Also dont always go for a return ticket sometimes you can get a 1 way ticket there and a 1 way ricket back and its cheaper. Or even a 1 way ticket to schiphol and a 1 way ticket home from brussels is sometimes cheaper than a return.

Go a day earlier, go home a day later. So much cheaper ;)

I booked a flight from southampton with flybe in december for 29th jan flight including baggage was £95 I would def postpone trip for another month and see the diff in prices.

Ask yourself if you need to take luggage with you? Hint - you don't. Carry on will be easily sufficient for a trip of that length, that may bring down the price somewhat.

you can get a 6hr ferry to rotterdam from harwich i think then get the train to amsterdam stenaline do the ferry think you can get a ferry for £80 return then you just have to get to the ferry and then amsterdam.
