My brother is due to get 4Mb VM broadband installed and I want to advise him about it.
When I had NTL installed a few yrs ago you were given a CD and had to install some software and log in/register during that (annoying) process.
Do you still have to do that or is it possible/better to avoid their software?
Also, it's gonna be routed by a Netgear Rangemax router. Should the initial setup be done with the router connected or direct into the VM modem?
It's a new router that hasn't been setup yet so I fear that may cause more hassle if setting the 2 things up together.
