Best Way To Play Gamecube Through TFT ?

As title.
I've got a crappy 14" CRT Telly to play my Gamecube on.
The best screen I own is a 19" Viewsonic TFT Monitor. I'd very much like to play the Gamecube (Specifically the upcoming Zelda) through this instead. The 19" Dell CRT Monitor would be preferable too.
I know the 'Cube doesn't support this out the box (It's a recent PAL one).

I've seen 2 options :

- A Logic 3 Converter Box where you plug in component / S-Video from a console or DVD; it converts to VGA (Can't link, I think ? or is console stuff OK ?) This doesn't need to have the PC on but does anyone know what the quality's like ? If you've used one (for any console) what's it like ? does it support 60HZ too?

- My X1800XT has Avivo functionality. Obviously the PC has to be on for this. I'm sure by some cable blaggery I can input the 'Cube through some format to this then to the monitor. Any experience with this way for any consoles ? Is it easy to get full screen ? How's the scaling ? (AND how the hell would I do this ? - Re software)

Any hints will be very much appreciated.

The Dell 2007 lets you input TV ? How can you tell from the description ? What is the name for the input ?

Seeing as I already have the Monitor, X1800XT & the relevant cable - do you know how I can get the cube to display on the TFT - I have the latest Catalyst 6.9 Drivers. I'd like to see how crap it is because I've been playing with the yellow phono cable on a small telly with mono sound so it wouldn't have to be amazing. Do I need an additional program to display the input from the avivo socket or can cataylst do this somehow ?

Thanks for taking the time.

Also - I get confused with the cables - the yellow (video), red & white (Audio) - Are they composite or component ?

And the other is the RGB I assume ?

I researched this a bit more & it really seems like you can't get decent picture quality with this kind of forced conversion of the signal. Not without spending a lot anyway.
I came to the conclusion that an LCD TV with some kind of AV inputs is probably the best route as it can also be used as a PC monitor. But that's out of my budget for now, so I'll just keep playing on the little telly.
I guess you might find a decent one for £50 but that's a lot of money really.
