By best I mean cheapest! There is absolutely no rush.

I have a 17" CRT monitor that I want to get to my folk's home up north. I think it's about 20KG all in and I still have the original box (you can imagine the dimensions).

Thanks :)

Go to ebay. Search for "17" CRT Monitor"
Look for one with a low delivary price. Pretend to be interested and ask the sellar the intended way of delivary.

Et Viola.

Edit: I've seen one for £10 delivary.

I'm in the same boat.. Am buying an NEC 20" widescreen soon and won't have any need for my trusty old CRT so was going to send it to my parents. After looking at the costs and such I though it was probably easier if I waited till I visited them next and took it with me.

Take a sledge hammer to it, and send a new part each week.

Bit like those magazines that give you one piece of the 2,000 piece model/kit/collection each week, for an introductory price of £1.99 (regular price £4.99)!
