Could try that, if you can stretch the budget a little you might want to go for the 620W PSU for about £25 more, but the above should be fine

You might want to drop the 8800GTX to just an 8800GT. You'd save a lot of cash and the difference isn't that huge.

EDIT - I know you gave a £1k budget but there is no sense in splashing out on what has been rendered quite an overpriced card.

Would buying these components be more advisable than one of OC's Ultima systems? They seem to be great machines and competitively priced.

i'd reccomend not using Vista if you're gaming. XP x-64 is very good for games!

There reasonably priced it must be said, but when you make your own you can tailor it exactly to what you need and know how it will perform...not to mention normally save cash.
