i love the look of the zalman cpu coolers but i have to say i have never used one so not to sure wat they are like i have a freezer 64 pro at the mo but really would like some advice on a zalman if anyone has had good experience with them would you mind letting me no your thoughts

many thanks

I have the Zalman CNPS9700NT on my AMD 6000+X2 system, it is a great cooler imo, it keeps my chip really cool, and the Windsor core 6000+ runs really HOT!!

I even used this cooler on my i7 for a while, it used to keep the i7 cool when I had it running @ 3.8GHz.

But the 9500 is also really nice I have heard, and it was selling for £12.99 on here, I am not sure if it still is or not though.

cheers for that mate i will have a look at it, will it cool my phenom II x4 do you think? also do you get a bracket to mount it on or do you use the one that come with your amd board?

Yes it will fit that board mate, it uses a small clip that goes through the center of the HSF and clips down onto that black retention bracket on the mobo.

Here is a pic of the clip it uses, or at least, this is the clip that the 9700NT uses, I am assuming they both use the same one...
