Besta ikea cabinets and strength

Does anyone use these units without the back cover in place. I am thinking of getting one and to avoid over heating and to get my received to fit will not use the back cover on the unit. Just wondering if this will effect the integrity. I am not placing a TV on it

No issues here without back cover. Mine didn't even come with one.

They're very solid without, the backs don't really add to the structural integrity at all.

I have the cheap black one and its strong. Has had tonnes of stuff on it without the back cover. 77'' OLED, 100kg worth of amplifiers and processors lol.. still going good
